SUMMARY:Tukwila’s Fixers — Free Repair Event
DESCRIPTION:Got a busted blender? A torn sweater? A lamp that’s more moody than moody lighting? Or maybe a vacuum that just plain sucks (or… doesn’t)? Bring it on down to the FREE King County Community Repair Event at the Tukwila Community Center and let their talented team of volunteer fixers work their magic! Whether it’s small appliances\, electronics\, toys\, vacuums\, jewelry\, clothing\, or even wobbly chairs—they’ll give it their best shot to extend its life\, keep it out of a landfill\, and save you some money.  \nHow it works:\nIt’s first-come\, first-served—one item per person to start. Got a second item? We’ll try to get to it after everyone’s first fix is handled. No sign-ups this time\, just show up and get in line!  \n📵 A few things we don’t fix: \n\n\n\nCell phones or tablets\nMicrowaves\nGas-powered gear\nKnives/tools that need sharpening\nMajor clothing alterations or complex reconstructions\n\n\n\nFixers may decline to work on any item – in advance or at the event – depending on the item\, the type of repair needed\, the fixers available\, or for other reasons. \nWondering if your item is a good fit? Drop a question on this Facebook event or contact Tom\, the event coordinator\, at tom.watson@kingcounty.gov or 206-477-4481. You can also check out www.KingCounty.gov/ecoconsumer for more info\, including a list of local repair businesses. \nWe love a good fixer-upper moment\, and we’d love to help give your beloved but broken items a second life. \nLet’s make it a fun day of fixing\, mending\, and saving stuff from the landfill.

SUMMARY:Viking Evening Market at Oppegaard Meadery
DESCRIPTION:Oppegaard Meadery has a brand new space! To celebrate their kicking off a new event—the Viking Evening Market! Beginning this fall\, the market will take place every third Friday of the month\, transforming the mead hall into a bustling showcase of local talent and creativity. \nEach month\, up to five local artists\, makers\, and vendors will set up booths along the indoor space to share and sell their creations. Expect an eclectic mix of goods—everything from tasty snacks and handcrafted jewelry to flowers\, swords\, and other unique finds. Some vendors may be familiar faces from past events\, while others will be brand-new discoveries. Vendor announcements will roll out in the event comments in the week leading up\, so keep an eye out for who will be joining each month’s market. \nThe Viking Evening Market is free to attend\, open to all ages\, and offers plenty of free parking.
