DESCRIPTION:It’s no secret that Tukwila has a bustling arts scene\, and The Rainier Symphony is the perfect example of our community’s musical prowess. Composed of musicians of all skill levels and ages—including internationally-renowned professionals—this 70 member community orchestra performs regularly at the Foster Performing Arts Center where they have been providing the Puget Sound area with musical excellence for over 40 years.  \nSo if you’re looking for a night out that supports the community and fills you with inspiration\, mark your calendar for the April concert series: American Voices. Begin the evening with Gwynne Kuhner Brown\, a musicologist who will kick off the show with some thought-provoking pre-concert remarks. Then it’s time to settle into your seat for a wonderful performance that features a few pieces by renowned and contemporary African-American composers\, including: \nToast of the Town Overture\, by Quinn Mason\n
