Intro to Birding

May 1 at 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Spring is the perfect time of year to take up a new hobby.

Birding is a great way to learn a new skill while exploring beautiful parks and other outdoor spaces. If you’re interested in knowing more about our feathered friends, join Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife watchable wildlife coordinator, Kelsey Hansen, for a FREE Birding Workshop.

You’ll learn how to identify different species, get hands-on practice with binoculars, and gain the necessary skills to begin your journey into birding.

The event will begin with a quick introduction to birding at 6 PM in the Tukwila Community Center, followed by a walk around the campus identifying local species. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle. Binoculars will be included.
