Tacoma Defiance is going head to head to Venture County FC on May 22, 2026 at 10pm at Starfire Sports Stadium. The match is a part of the MLS Next Pro.
The Tacoma Defiance is an American professional soccer team based in Tukwila that competes in MLS Next Pro, a league in the third tier of the United States soccer league system, as the reserve team of Seattle Sounders FC.

King County Play Equity Coalition and Tukwila Parks and Recreation are teaming up to host a Community Play Day! There will be hundreds of youth and families joining the Play Day at the Tukwila Community Center on September 15 from noon to 3pm. The day will be filled with fun activities for all ages, including sports, games, music, food, and more. Kids can try soccer, street hockey, roller derby, basketball, skateboarding, nature walks, and more. A range of adaptive activities will also be available.
Participants will receive a free lunch and many opportunities for prizes along the way.
Adults will have the opportunity to participate in a pickleball tournament and cheer on their kids throughout the day.

Say ‘Happy Birthday’ to America this Fourth of July with everyone’s favorite new American pastime—pickleball!
Tukwila Parks & Recreation is hosting a Fourth of July celebration with a day filled with pickleball skills camps, games, scrambles, and more festivities starting at 9 AM.
Fun fact: the first-ever pickleball tournament happened in Tukwila at the Southcenter Athletic Club!
Every skill level is welcome. So grab your red, white, and blue paddle and take to the courts.
Soccer has been foundational to the cultural development of our community for many years thanks in large part to the welcoming atmosphere over at Starfire Sports, which provides facilities for people of all ages to learn the most beautiful game.
On June 28, Starfire is celebrating this achievement with the 2024 Tukwila Cup & Block Party. Boys & Girls ages U11 – U19 are invited to compete in this three-day tournament and everyone is invited to come cheer them on and join in on the surrounding festivities.
The festivities include youth STEM activities, lawn games, an artists & makers market, food trucks, and much more!

Oppegaard Meadery is throwing a party for the ages. Food trucks and local vendors will fill the parking lot for a celebration of all things mead, music, and art.
Explore the many stalls and then gather around at 2 PM for the main event: a medieval combat tournament! Fighters will don full medieval-style armor and compete for ultimate glory.
Follow up the action and celebrate the champion with medieval-inspired music and dance by Menagerie. It’s a feast for the eyes and the stomach that you won’t want to miss! All ages welcome.
