First Annual Tukwila Hullabaloo

Sometimes, you don’t need a fancy reason to celebrate other than to show love and appreciation for your community.

Join us for the first annual Tukwila Hullabaloo at Joseph Foster Memorial Park on August 17 at 11 AM.

There will be entertainment, delicious food, art and craft vendors, and a variety of games for all ages. This is a great opportunity to create lasting memories and strengthen our bond as a community.

End of Summer BASH

We’re changing the tone for those end-of-summer blues on August 30 at 6 PM.

End the summer with a party and join us at the Tukwila Community Center for the BASH!

We’re talking exciting games for kids, a whole line of food trucks, and even some back-to-school swag.

The festivities wrap with a showing of everyone’s favorite martial arts bear, Kung Fu Panda 4.

Celebrate the end of another amazing summer and “karate kick” off the start of another great school year! 

Family Friendly Concert in the Park

Concert in the Park is back! Join us at Joseph Foster Memorial Park on Wednesday, July 24 at 5:30 PM for a special performance by local favorite, Brian Vogan and his Good Buddies.

Dance along to the fun, inclusive, and interactive music artfully created for all ages to enjoy.

For more than a decade, Brian Vogan and his Good Buddies have been making music for children and their parents and performing across the Pacific Northwest.

Concert in the Park is open to everyone and visitors are encouraged to bring seating, water, and snacks along for the show. 

Summer Starts in Tukwila

Summer vacation is just around the corner and Tukwila is kicking things off with a day filled with sunshine (hopefully!) and fun for all the bright young minds wrapping up another school year.

Middle schoolers and high schoolers, make your way to the Foster High School Football Field on June 18th from noon to 2 PM to join the party.

There will be a live DJ and a variety of summer games and activities.

Welcome Spring at the Symphony

It’s the season for renewal and rebirth. All around us life is transforming from the dormancy of winter to the vibrance of spring.

Celebrate this colorful time of year with colorful sounds from the Rainier Symphony on April 13 at 7:30 PM & April 14 at 3:00 PM.

This 70-member community orchestra has been gifting our city with beautiful music since 1981 and always puts on a spectacular performance.

Pieces in the Transformations concert include:

  • Virgil Thomson — A Solemn Music
  • Paul Hindemith — Symphonic Metamorphosis

The Good Festival Celebrates Earth Month

When you don’t know what to do, just do good!

The Good Festival at Westfield Southcenter is an opportunity to celebrate Earth Month while also learning a few new ways to cut down on your own carbon footprint.

Enjoy green activities, listen to live music, and check out the live bike demo on April 27 at 11 AM.

The full schedule includes:

    2. Kids’ planting activity 11-12 (Dining Terrace Level 2 East Outdoor Patio)
    3. Trek Bikes demo 11:30 to 1 pm (Sears hallway)

Santa, K-POP, & Drones

Get ready for the night sky above Westfield Southcenter to twinkle in a magnificent display of holiday spirit.

The festivities will begin with a performance by local K-POP dance cover group B2E, followed by a magnificent drone show depicting Santa’s sleigh journey from the North Pole to Westfield Southcenter.

Stay warm with hot cocoa and sweet treats provided throughout the performances.

To top it all off, the big guy himself will make an appearance right after the show, so snap a photo with Santa to add to your holiday memories.

The event will take place outside at the South Entryway by JOEY Southcenter, so dress accordingly!

Holiday Classics with Rainier Symphony

The holidays are a time to come together and rejoice as a community.

One of our favorite ways to celebrate is with the Rainier Symphony – a distinguished, 70-member orchestra that has provided joy in the form of music for over four decades.

Their annual Holiday Concert is fast approaching, so be sure to mark your calendar and show up for a night filled with traditional favorites and carols, including Christmas Festival, Troika, and a variety of pieces from The Nutcracker.

Chris Eger Band Live

The music continues in Tukwila. Concert in the Park is back at Foster Memorial Park with another incredible performance. This time the hugely talented, multi-instrumentalist Chris Eger takes the stage on July 25 at 6 PM to play a unique collision of Rock and Blues, Country, Funk, and Soul.

Nominated for Best Male Vocalist by the Washington Blues Society three years in a row, Chris brings a level of craft to his performances that is nearly unmatched in the music industry.

Food will be provided by Soul Fusion Food – a local food truck specializing in down-home soul food cooked with intense flavor and passion. You don’t want to miss it!
